Market trends for animal feed and raw material exports and imports

AsemconnectVietnam - Regarding animal feed exports, in the first half of July of 2026, the export value of animal feed and raw materials reached US$106.3 million. The accumulated export value from the beginning of the year to July 15, 2026 totaled US$1,116.2 million.
According to the preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s exports of animal feed and raw materials in June of 2026 reached US$208.9 million, a 5% increase compared to the previous month. For the first six months of 2026, the total export value reached US$1,010 million, up by 67.6% year-on-year.

Regarding animal feed imports, in the first half of July of 2026, the import value of animal feed and raw materials reached US$160.3 million. The accumulated import value from the beginning of the year to July 15, 2026, totaled US$2,395.3 million.
Previously, in June of 2026, imports of animal feed and raw materials reached US$483.5 million, an increase of 12.7% compared to the previous month. Overall, imports in the first six months of the year totaled US$2,234.9 million, a decrease of 3.9% compared to the same period of 2025.
During the first half of 2026, Argentina overtook the United States to become the largest supplier of animal feed and raw materials to Vietnam, with a value of US$458.9 million, down by 51% year-on-year and accounting for 20.5% of the country's total imports in this category.
The United States ranked second with a turnover exceeding US$431.2 million, representing a 19.3% share. Despite holding the runner-up position, the supplies from this South American nation recorded a sharp decline of 62.1% compared to the same period of 2025.
