Rang Dong (RAL) reports over VND230 billion profit in the first 6 months of 2026
Tuesday, August 18,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Following the announcement of its Q2/2026 financial report with nearly 70% profit growth, Rang Dong Light Bulb and Thermos Flask Joint Stock Company (RAL – HOSE) announced that on August 19th, it will finalize the list of shareholders entitled to receive the first interim dividend for 2026.
Accordingly, the company will pay a cash dividend at a rate of 25%, meaning shareholders owning one share will receive VND2,500. With over 23.5 million shares listed and outstanding, RAL will have to spend nearly VND59 billion to pay dividends to existing shareholders.
The ex-dividend date is August 18th, and the dividend payment is expected to be on September 10th.
At the recent Annual General Meeting, the company approved a dividend distribution plan for 2026 at a rate of 50% in cash. In addition to the dividend payment in September, RAL will distribute a second dividend at a rate of 25%, expected to be paid in April 2027.
Notably, the company recently announced a very positive Q2 2026 financial report with net revenue reaching nearly VND1,576.5 billion, a 33% increase compared to the same period last year; after-tax profit reached VND117.1 billion, a growth of 68%.
Explaining the strong profit growth, Rang Dong stated that it focused on improving the quality of growth, risk prevention, and asset preservation. Specifically, RAL focused on reducing customer debt (due to the influx of cheap Chinese goods, customers chasing profits would switch to selling Chinese goods, risking debt and capital loss).
At the same time, the company focuses on developing science and technology - innovation and dual transformation: digital (AI) and green, in order to establish advanced and modern production methods.
On the other hand, the business outlook for the first half of 2025 is less favorable due to the rapid changes in the competitive market environment, which has put Rang Dong facing extremely challenging risks, threatening the company's existence similar to the risks threatened before the first Innovation period.
For the first six months of the year, RAL recorded revenue of VND3,413.6 billion, an increase of 24.5% compared to the same period; pre-tax profit reached VND266.2 billion, a growth of 37.15%; and after- tax profit reached VND233.7 billion, a growth of 36.9%.
Thus, with a plan to achieve revenue of VND6,500 billion and pre-tax profit of VND400 billion in 2026, by the end of the first half of the year, Rang Dong had completed 52.5% and 66.55% of its targets, respectively.
