Monday, August 17,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - In the first half of the year, DatVietVAC recorded consolidated net revenue of VND1,366 billion, a decrease of 7% compared to the same period last year on a conventional comparison basis. Profit after tax before non-controlling shareholder interests reached VND135 billion, an increase of 5%; the after-tax profit margin increased from 8.8% to 9.9%.
Consolidated gross profit reached VND290 billion, equivalent to the same period last year, while the gross profit margin increased from 19.8% to 21.2%. According to DatVietVAC, this improvement comes from the operational efficiency of the Media Services segment and some high-margin activities in the Content segment.
In the revenue structure, the Content segment recorded VND687 billion, an increase of 1%; Gross profit reached VND216 billion, down 1%, with a gross profit margin maintained at 31.5%.
Revenue from managing and commercially exploiting artists reached VND311 billion, up 44%; gross profit increased by 55%, to VND62 billion. The number of artists managed and commercially exploited by DatVietVAC increased from 94 at the end of 2025 to 114 as of June 30, 2026.
Revenue from exploiting intellectual property assets and trading IP-related products reached VND95 billion, up 7%; gross profit increased by 47%, to VND91 billion. Meanwhile, revenue from content production and broadcasting decreased by 35%, to VND85 billion, due to major programs not yet starting to broadcast in the first half of the year. Gross profit from this activity still increased by 39%, to VND26 billion, bringing the gross profit margin from 14.3% to 30.7%. Revenue from event organization and ticket sales reached VND151 billion, a 13% decrease due to the reduction in the number of concerts from 3 to 2 nights. Gross profit from this activity also decreased compared to the same period.
The Media Services segment recorded revenue of VND763 billion, a 12% decrease. Revenue from media planning services and purchasing advertising time and placement reached approximately VND666 billion, a 20% decrease, but gross profit increased by 19%, to VND73 billion; the gross profit margin increased from 7.1% to 9.5%.
On the growth side, revenue from influencer marketing services reached VND97 billion, a 185% increase; gross profit increased by 153%, to VND20 billion.
DatVietVAC stated that business results are usually concentrated in the second half of the year, when key programs are broadcast, concerts are organized, and brands' media budgets increase. In 2026, three programs – Tinh Ha “Say Hi”, Masked Singer Season 3, and 2 Days 1 Night Season 5 – will all begin airing in the third quarter.
Of the eight concerts planned for this year, two have already taken place in the first half of the year, and six are scheduled for the second half. The three key programs have secured at least 85% of their target sponsorship before airing.
According to the plan, revenue in the second half of the year will come from program sponsorships, advertising, ticket sales, program-related merchandise, artist commercial exploitation, and copyright. This period is also expected to contribute the majority of the year's revenue and profit, with a target profit of VND420 billion.
Notably, DatVietVAC has signed a music distribution agreement with Sony Music for products from Tinh Ha “Say Hi” and Masked Singer Season 3 on digital music platforms. The total value of the agreement is over $1 million USD. This collaboration expands revenue streams from programs beyond sponsorship and broadcasting, while also extending the commercial exploitation period of music products after the program ends.
DatVietVAC also signed licensing agreements and commercial exploitation cooperation agreements with cosmetics and fashion partners for Tinh Ha's "Say Hi," under a fixed fee model combined with revenue sharing.
In Q4 2026, the company plans to bring the "Say Hi" IP concert series back to Las Vegas with a minimum of two nights, under a licensing model where the local partner is responsible for organization and bears most of the implementation risks.
DatVietVAC also plans to establish a joint venture with a US/Korean partner in the field of training, development, and commercial exploitation of artists in Q4 2026, aiming to develop artist groups capable of operating in Vietnam and the international market.
As of June 30, 2026, DatVietVAC had VND1,256 billion in cash and cash equivalents, an increase from VND879 billion at the end of 2025. Borrowings amounted to VND491 billion, entirely short-term debt serving working capital; the company had no long-term debt. Net cash reached approximately VND765 billion.
DatVietVAC expects to pay a cash dividend for 2026 at a minimum of VND2,500 per share in the fourth quarter. The final dividend amount will be announced after the IPO is completed, based on business results, cash flow, and investment needs.
