 Saturday, August 15,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam Airlines Corporation (stock code HVN) announced that, despite the difficulties faced by the aviation industry in the second quarter, thanks to very positive results in the first quarter, the company still achieved favorable results in the first six months of the year.

Specifically, in the first six months of 2026, Vietnam Airlines recorded consolidated revenue of VND75,312 billion, an increase of over 28% compared to the same period last year; profit reached VND3,852 billion. The parent company's revenue reached VND56,274 billion, an increase of nearly 19% compared to the same period in 2025, and profit reached VND2,877 billion.
In the first quarter of 2026, Vietnam Airlines achieved very positive business results, but the second quarter of 2026 was heavily impacted by the skyrocketing fuel prices resulting from the conflict in the Middle East.
In the first half of 2026, Vietnam Airlines operated over 80,000 flights, transporting over 13 million passengers, a 4% increase compared to the same period; and transported over 180,000 tons of cargo, a 10% increase compared to the same period. Notably, the international market continued to be a crucial growth driver, with the airline transporting nearly 4.8 million international passengers, an 18.8% increase compared to the same period, reflecting the strong recovery in international travel demand and the effectiveness of its network expansion strategy.
In the last six months of 2026, Vietnam Airlines is determined to continue closely monitoring market developments and fuel prices to manage its business operations flexibly and steadfastly with the goal of double-digit growth.
Vietnam Airlines stated that it will proactively seek opportunities to expand into international markets, aggressively implement cost management solutions, and continue to improve service quality, accelerate digital transformation, and enhance the application of software systems and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve management efficiency and optimize customer experience.
