Hoang Quan Real Estate (HQC) recorded VND12.81 billion profit in the first six months

AsemconnectVietnam - Hoang Quan Real Estate Consulting, Trading and Service Joint Stock Company (HQC - HOSE) recorded a profit of VND7.41 billion in the second quarter, bringing the cumulative profit for the first half of 2026 to VND12.81 billion, achieving 14.2% of its 2026 annual plan.
In the second quarter of 2026, Hoang Quan Real Estate recorded revenue of VND64.84 billion compared to a loss of VND10.83 billion in the same period last year, an increase of VND75.67 billion; after-tax profit reached VND7.41 billion, an increase of 51.2% compared to the same period last year.
During the period, the volume of returned goods was no longer significant, and gross profit was recorded as positive VND8.49 billion compared to a loss of VND17.92 billion in the same period last year, an increase of VND26.41 billion.
During the same period, financial revenue decreased by 44.5%, equivalent to a decrease of VND12.81 billion, to VND15.97 billion; financial expenses decreased by 88.8%, equivalent to a decrease of VND33.02 billion, to VND4.17 billion; selling and administrative expenses increased by 149.3%, equivalent to an increase of VND7.9 billion, to VND13.19 billion; other income decreased by 95.7%, equivalent to a decrease of VND36.22 billion, to VND1.61 billion.
Thus, during the period, the gross profit of VND8.49 billion was insufficient to cover financial, selling, and administrative expenses; the company's profit was mainly due to financial revenue.
Cumulatively in the first half of 2026, Hoang Quan Real Estate recorded revenue of VND70.06 billion, an increase of 83.9% compared to the same period. Net profit after tax reached VND12.81 billion, an increase of 27.3% compared to the same period last year.
In 2026, Hoang Quan Real Estate plans to achieve revenue of VND1,200 billion and projected net profit after tax of VND90 billion.
Thus, by the end of the first half of 2026, Hoang Quan Real Estate had only completed 14.2% of its ambitious 2026 plan.
Regarding asset size, as of June 30, 2026, Hoang Quan Real Estate's total assets increased slightly by 0.3% compared to the beginning of the year, equivalent to an increase of VND26.14 billion, reaching VND8,999.1 billion. Of this, the main assets are VND3,536.4 billion in long-term financial investments, accounting for 39.3% of total assets; and VND3,221.1 billion in short-term receivables, accounting for 35.79% of total assets. Inventory amounted to VND1,486.9 billion, representing 16.52% of total assets and other items.
The company explained that VND680.3 billion in short-term financial investments were mainly with related parties, including VND218.7 billion from Hoang Quan Group, VND26.3 billion from Viet Kien Truc JSC, VND317.3 billion from Bao Linh Investment - Construction - Development JSC, and VND75.7 billion from Hoang Quan Investment Consulting JSC… Hoang Quan Real Estate further explained that these were loans and business cooperation investments.
It is known that some listed companies often account for business cooperation items under other short-term receivables.
Regarding capital sources, as of the end of Q2, Hoang Quan Real Estate explained that the tax payable was VND95.19 billion. This includes VND70.38 billion in value-added tax, VND24.07 billion in corporate income tax, VND0.11 billion in personal income tax, and VND0.63 billion in other taxes.
