Top Vietnamese leader leaves for State visits to Australia, New Zealand

The top Vietnamese leader is accompanied by Politburo member, President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Commission for Publicity and Education Trinh Van Quyet; Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Politburo member, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang; Politburo member, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Doan Anh.
Viet Nam and Australia established diplomatic relations on February 26, 1973 and elevated bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Partnership in 2009, enhanced Comprehensive Partnership in 2015, Strategic Partnership in 2018, and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in March 2024.
Meanwhile, Viet Nam and New Zealand set up diplomatic relations in June 19, 1975 and upgraded bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Partnership in 2009, Strategic Partnership in 2020, and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in February 2025./.
