Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung hosts President of Southeast Asia Semiconductor Association

AsemconnectVietnam - Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung hosted a reception for President of Southeast Asia Semiconductor Association (SEMI SEA) Linda Tan in Ha Noi on July 30.
He urged the association's member companies to seek investment opportunities and expand collaboration with Vietnamese partners to support the development of the country's semiconductor industry.
Ho called on SEMI SEA to strengthen policy recommendations, share international experience, and assist Viet Nam in participating more actively in the association's activities as well as in the regional and global semiconductor ecosystem.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that SEMI SEA would continue promoting Viet Nam's image and investment environment to its more than 3,000 member companies and international partners, thereby attracting more high-quality investment projects in semiconductor sector.
He particularly underscored the importance of cooperation in developing high-quality human resources, especially engineers for semiconductor industry and other emerging technology sectors.
Tan, for her part, said that SEMI SEA looks forward to accompanying and supporting Viet Nam in realizing its vision for the development of semiconductor industry.
SEMI SEA will continue working to enhance Viet Nam's links with the global semiconductor community, she noted, commending the Government's vision and determination to build an internationally competitive semiconductor industry.
Viet Nam is emerging as one of Southeast Asia's most attractive destinations for semiconductor industry, thanks to its young and promising workforce, strategic geographic location, and strong aspirations for technological advancement and innovation, she noted.
Member companies of the association stand ready to establish long-term partnerships with Viet Nam and engage in dialogue to identify areas where they can support the country's semiconductor industry development, stated Tan./.
