PSD's profits increased by 66% in Q2/2026

AsemconnectVietnam - Petroleum Distribution and General Services Joint Stock Company (PSD) recently announced its Q2 2026 financial statements, showing increases in both revenue and profit compared to the same period last year.
Accordingly, in Q2 2026, PSD recorded net revenue of VND2,675 billion, a 42% increase compared to the same period. Cost of goods sold increased correspondingly to VND2,529.5 billion, resulting in a gross profit of VND145.6 billion, a 47.6% increase.
During the period, revenue from financial activities increased by 51%, to VND49.3 billion, while financial expenses nearly doubled to VND41.1 billion, mainly due to an increase in interest expenses to VND27.1 billion. In addition, selling expenses increased by 26.8% to VND78.4 billion, while administrative expenses decreased by 45.2% to VND14.4 billion.
As a result, PSD recorded pre-tax profit of VND61.2 billion, an increase of 65.2% compared to Q2/2025. After deducting tax expenses, after- tax profit reached VND49 billion, an increase of 66% compared to the same period.
For the first six months of 2026, PSD recorded net revenue of VND5,192.3 billion, an increase of 32.5% compared to the same period last year. After-tax profit reached VND103.3 billion, nearly double the VND51.8 billion of the first half of 2025.
Meanwhile, in 2026, PSD aims for consolidated revenue of VND9,000 billion, an increase of 11% compared to the previous year. However, after-tax profit remained flat at VND144 billion. With these results, PSD has completed approximately 72% of its annual profit target.
As of June 30, 2026, PSD's total assets reached VND5,678 billion, an increase of approximately 22% compared to the beginning of the year. The largest change came from cash and cash equivalents, which increased by 138.7% to VND545.7 billion. Short-term receivables also increased by 37.2%, reaching VND2,024.2 billion.
Notably, PSD currently holds over VND70.6 billion in trading securities, an increase of 76.5% compared to the beginning of the year, but is incurring a provision for impairment of over VND5 billion, 1.7 times higher.
Regarding capital sources, total liabilities at the end of Q2 of PSD amounted to VND4,836.1 billion, an increase of 22.3% compared to the beginning of the year. Short-term loans and financial lease liabilities increased from VND2,572 billion to VND2,897 billion.
On July 27th, the company will finalize the list of shareholders for the issuance of shares as a dividend payment for 2025. The company plans to issue over 16 million shares as a dividend payment at a rate of 30% (shareholders owning 100 shares will receive 30 new shares).
The total value of the issuance at par value is VND162 billion. The capital for the issuance will come from after-tax profits for 2025 and accumulated undistributed after-tax profits up to the end of 2025.
