Thursday, July 30,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (stock code BFC) has just announced its Q2 and first six-month financial reports, showing a decline in both revenue and profit.
In its separate financial report, in Q2/2026, BFC's revenue reached over VND989.8 billion, a decrease of 53% compared to the same period last year. Gross profit was recorded at VND121.5 billion, a decrease of 47%, and after-tax profit decreased by 66%, reaching VND27.7 billion.
For the first six months of 2026, the parent company recorded revenue of over VND3,150.5 billion, a decrease of 18% compared to the same period last year, and after-tax profit reached VND136.6 billion, a decrease of 15% compared to the same period last year.
The company stated that due to price fluctuations caused by global geopolitical instability and unfavorable weather conditions, customer demand decreased sharply, and leading to a 57% decrease in sales volume for the parent company in Q2/2026 compared to the same period last year. This is the core reason for the shrinking scale of revenue and gross profit. Consequently, after-tax profit decreased by 66% compared to Q2/2025.
Given the unfavorable business conditions in Q2/2026, cumulative after-tax profit for the first six months of the year decreased by 15% compared to the same period.
In its consolidated financial report, BFC recorded net revenue of over VND1,698 billion in Q2/2026, a decrease of 52% compared to the same period. After-tax profit reached over VND51.6 billion, a decrease of 65% compared to the same period.
For the first six months of the year, BFC's consolidated revenue reached over VND5,043 billion, a decrease of 17% compared to the same period last year. Consolidated pre-tax profit reached over VND 240 billion, and consolidated after- tax profit reached VND193.9 billion, a decrease of 25% compared to the same period last year.
Regarding the reasons for the fluctuations, BFC explained that the Group's Q2/2026 business results were significantly affected by unfavorable developments in the fertilizer market, including price fluctuations and adverse weather conditions, leading to a significant decrease in customer demand. This resulted in a nearly 58% decrease in the Group's total sales volume in Q2 and a 24% decrease in the first six months compared to the same period last year. Due to the impact of a sharp decline in sales volume, gross profit decreased by 47% in the second quarter and by 17% cumulatively over the first six months. Simultaneously, consolidated after-tax profit in the second quarter and the first six months of 2026 decreased by 65% and 25% respectively compared to the same period in 2025.
In 2026, the company aims for revenue of nearly VND11,000 billion and consolidated pre-tax profit of VND304 billion. With the plan achieved in the first six months, the company has completed 45.8% of its revenue target and 79% of its pre-tax profit target.
