The former Dak Nong Province, now part of Lam Dong Province, continued to post the country's highest buying price at VND140,500/kg.
Dak Lak ranked second at VND140,000/kg, remaining unchanged from the previous trading session.
The former Ba Ria–Vung Tau Province, now incorporated into Ho Chi Minh City, maintained a buying price of VND137,500/kg, VND3,000/kg below the highest-priced region.
In Gia Lai, pepper traded at VND137,000/kg. The former Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc regions also recorded VND137,000/kg, the lowest level among the surveyed producing areas.
The gap between the highest and lowest domestic prices stood at VND3,500/kg, equivalent to approximately VND3.5 million per tonne.
The VND140,000/kg level continued to be maintained in the two major producing regions of Dak Lak and the former Dak Nong. However, the market lacked sufficient new momentum to push prices higher across all producing areas.
Outside Vietnam, pepper production in Kerala, India, was projected to decline to 21,714 tonnes, representing a drop of more than 75% from previous levels, highlighting tightening supply conditions in one of the world's key pepper-producing regions.
