 Monday, July 20,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam's domestic rice market was little changed on July 20, although export-grade rice materials posted modest gains, while rice prices across Asia remained largely steady amid cautious trading.

In the global market, Thailand's 5% broken rice was quoted at $478-$482 a metric ton, while 100% broken rice stood at $409-$413 a metric ton. In India, 5% broken rice was offered at $350-$354 a metric ton, while 100% broken rice was quoted at $280-$284 a metric ton.
Asian and global rice markets continued to face pressure from elevated energy prices and high logistics costs, which weighed on supply-demand dynamics and kept trading activity cautious.
In Vietnam's Mekong Delta, domestic rice and paddy markets were largely stable, with trading activity remaining slow.
According to updates from the An Giang Department of Agriculture and Environment and Lua Gao Viet, export-grade IR 504 rice was quoted at VND9,200-9,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, paddy prices in Can Tho, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, and Tay Ninh remained relatively stable.
