Domestic coffee trading was quiet on Sunday, July 19, with prices in the Central Highlands ranging from VND97,200 to VND97,700 per kg.
Coffee prices in Dak Lak remained unchanged from the previous day at VND97,700 per kg. Likewise, prices in Lam Dong held steady at VND97,700 per kg.
Meanwhile, Gia Lai recorded the country's lowest coffee price at VND97,200 per kg, unchanged from the previous trading session.
By the end of the week, coffee prices across the Central Highlands were quoted between VND97,200 and VND97,900 per kg, up VND2,500-2,600 per kg, or 2.6%-2.7%, from the previous weekend. The increase marked the fourth consecutive weekly gain in Vietnam's domestic coffee market.
According to Reuters, traders said Vietnam's domestic coffee prices rose during the week as supplies tightened, although trading activity remained subdued because of weak demand and the arrival of fresh supplies from Indonesia.
In the Central Highlands, Vietnam's largest coffee-growing region, farmers sold coffee beans at VND97,200-97,900 per kg (equivalent to $3.73-$3.75 per kg), compared with VND94,700-95,300 per kg a week earlier.
Data from Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment showed that the country exported an estimated 150,000 metric tons of coffee in June 2026, generating $552.6 million in export revenue.
Coffee exports in the first six months of 2026 reached approximately 1.1 million metric tons, worth $4.78 billion, up 9.7% in volume but down 14.4% in value from the same period in 2025.
The decline in export earnings was mainly attributed to a sharp fall in export prices. Vietnam's average coffee export price during the first half of 2026 stood at around $4,435 per metric ton, down 22% from a year earlier. The figures highlighted that higher export volumes no longer translated into stronger export revenues after global coffee prices retreated from the elevated levels seen in 2024 and 2025.
