 Monday, July 13,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - On July 6, 2026, Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL - stock code OIL) held a conference to review its production and business activities for the first six months of the year and to implement tasks for the last six months of 2026.

Amidst the unpredictable and complex developments in the global and domestic petroleum markets, and the direct impact of geopolitical factors on production and business activities, PVOIL proactively implemented a comprehensive set of management solutions, flexibly seizing market opportunities, thereby completing many important production and business targets in the first six months of the year, contributing together with Petrovietnam to ensuring national energy security.
Accordingly, in the first six months of the year, PVOIL's sales volume reached 3.464 million m3/tons, equivalent to 56% of the annual plan, a 22% increase compared to the same period last year; consolidated revenue reached VND127.3 trillion, completing 83% of the annual plan and increasing 74% compared to the same period last year. Simultaneously, PVOIL continued to expand its retail network with 87 gas stations put into operation in the first six months of the year, completing nearly 70% of the annual plan, bringing the total number of stations in the entire system to 1,037.
One of the highlights of the first six months of the year was PVOIL officially launching the sale of E10 bioethanol fuel throughout its system from May 15, 2026. Introducing E10 bioethanol fuel into the market demonstrates PVOIL's proactive step in developing clean fuels, adapting to the energy transition trend, and realizing sustainable development goals.
At the conference, delegates focused on comprehensively evaluating the results of production and business activities in the first six months of the year, analyzing difficulties and obstacles in sourcing, market development, investment, and system expansion; and proposing many solutions to improve operational efficiency, increase production, expand market share, and achieve production and business targets for 2026.
In his directive speech at the conference, Mr. Duong Manh Son, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVOIL, acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the entire system in the first six months of the year, affirming that this is the result of correct direction, decisive management, and the efforts of all staff and employees. Mr. Son suggested that PVOIL continue to innovate its governance towards OECD standards, accelerate digital transformation, apply technology, and research new business areas, leveraging existing advantages to expand the value chain, enhance competitiveness, and create long-term growth momentum.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Dang Trinh, General Director of PVOIL, assessed that the results of the first six months exceeded expectations, a result of the close guidance of the Board of Directors, the decisive management of the Executive Board, and the efforts of the entire system. PVOIL proactively seized market opportunities, flexibly managed its supply chain, ensured supply, and improved business efficiency.
For the last six months of the year, the General Director of PVOIL requested that units improve the quality of forecasting, build flexible operational scenarios; continue to develop the network of petrol stations, expand market share, accelerate digital transformation, and improve operational efficiency. In light of the energy transition trend, PVOIL needs to proactively develop new products and services, increase revenue from non-petroleum products, and effectively utilize existing infrastructure to create sustainable growth momentum.
With the results achieved in the first six months of the year and the solutions and tasks agreed upon at the conference, PVOIL is determined to exceed its production and business targets for 2026, continue to maintain its position as the leading petroleum business in Vietnam, and create a solid foundation for implementing strategic goals in the next development phase.
