Thursday, June 25,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam's coffee prices extended gains on Thursday, supported by stronger buying interest and positive movements in international markets.
According to domestic market data, raw coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands increased by an average of VND200 per kg from the previous session, with prices ranging between VND88,300 and VND88,800 per kg. The regional average stood at around VND88,700 per kg.
Dak Nong province, now administratively merged into Lam Dong province, remained the country's highest-priced coffee-growing area at VND88,800 per kg, up VND100 per kg from the previous session.
Coffee prices in Dak Lak rose by VND200 per kg to VND88,700 per kg, while Gia Lai remained unchanged at VND88,500 per kg.
In the former Lam Dong area, coffee prices increased by VND100 per kg to VND88,300 per kg, the lowest level among the major coffee-producing provinces in the Central Highlands.
The strength in Vietnam's domestic market mirrored gains on international exchanges. Both Robusta and Arabica futures closed higher in the latest trading session.
On the London market, July 2026 Robusta coffee futures rose by 0.28%, or $10 per tonne, to settle at $3,590 per tonne.
Meanwhile, July 2026 Arabica coffee futures on the New York exchange gained 0.45%, or 1.30 U.S. cents per lb, to close at 289.25 U.S. cents per lb.
The simultaneous rise in domestic and international coffee prices suggested improving market sentiment. Current price trends indicated continued short-term support, particularly as global coffee futures maintained an upward trajectory.

According to Congthuong.vn, Vietnam's coffee exports posted positive growth in volume during the first five months of 2026, although export earnings declined due to lower average export prices compared with a year earlier.
Coffee exports continued to slow in May as available supplies tightened. Data from the Vietnam Customs Department showed that coffee exports in May 2026 reached 143,000 tonnes worth $639.4 million, down 24.7% in volume and 22.3% in value from April 2026. Compared with May 2025, exports fell 10.8% in volume and 30.3% in value.
In the January-May period, Vietnam exported 927,300 tonnes of coffee valued at $4.23 billion, up 7.8% in volume but down 13.5% in value from the same period last year as coffee prices declined significantly.
The average export price in May 2026 stood at $4,471 per tonne, up 3.2% from April but down 21.8% from a year earlier. For the first five months of 2026, the average export price reached $4,557 per tonne, a decrease of 19.7% year-on-year.
Export volumes to most key markets declined in May from the previous month, with Japan being a notable exception. However, cumulative exports during the first five months of the year continued to record positive growth across most major destinations.
Europe remained the largest and most important market for Vietnamese coffee exports. Shipments to major European buyers, including Germany and Italy, maintained positive volume growth during the first five months of 2026, supported by stable consumer demand.
Asia also showed encouraging signs, driven by rising demand from China and steady imports from Japan. In the Americas, the United States remained one of Vietnam's leading coffee export destinations, while Algeria continued to emerge as a promising market for Vietnamese coffee in Africa.
