Vietnam corn market remained stable in May as imports stayed strong
Wednesday, June 10,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam's corn market remained largely stable in May 2026, with domestic grain prices showing little change from the previous month despite continued strong import volumes and steady demand from the livestock sector.
Domestic corn prices were generally quoted between 8,000 and 9,000 dong per kg during the month, reflecting a relatively balanced supply-demand situation in the local market.
Domestic production remained stable, ensuring adequate supplies, while demand from the livestock industry – the country's largest corn-consuming sector – showed no significant short-term increase.
Prices of processed corn products, including dried and sun-dried corn kernels, also remained broadly unchanged at around 7,000-7,500 dong per kg, indicating limited upward pressure on the market during the month.
Corn imports surged in the first four months

While import volumes continued to rise sharply compared with last year, domestic corn prices showed limited movement, reflecting balanced market fundamentals and moderate demand growth from the livestock sector.
