 Friday, June 5,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures from the Vietnam Customs Department, Vietnam's goods exports to the French market in April of 2026 reached US$366.4 million, a decrease of 0.4% compared to March of 2026, but an increase of 18.5% compared to April of 2025.

In the first four months of 2026, Vietnam's goods exports to the French market reached US$1.438 billion, an increase of 13.8% compared to the same period of 2025. This showed that the supply capacity of Vietnamese businesses as well as consumer demand in the French market for Vietnamese goods are clearly improving compared to the same period last year, and exports to France are recovering and developing very positively. This is an encouraging numerical growth rate in the context of the global economy in general and Europe in particular, which remains highly volatile.
Vietnam's traditional key export items to France, such as textiles, footwear, telephones, electronic components, and agricultural and aquatic products, have maintained their position and met the consumer preferences of the French people. The French market is affirming its position as one of Vietnam's leading trading partners in the European region. Although there was a slight short-term decrease (between April and March), the trend for the first four months of 2026 remains strong growth. In the first four months of 2026, most of the items contributing the most to total export turnover to France increased compared to the same period, such as:
Footwear of all kinds led in turnover, reaching US$233,493 in the first four months, an increase of 8.63%; mobile phones and components ranked second, reaching US$226,630, an increase of 12.20%; machinery, equipment, tools and other spare parts, showed strong growth, reaching US$156,66, an increase of 40.88%; computers, electronic products and components reached US$152.01 thousand, a slight increase of 2.55%.
In addition, some items did not reach high export values but showed strong growth such as rubber with the strongest increase, reaching US$1,913,000 an increase of 424.19% compared to the same period last year; pepper reached US$9,800, an increase of 50.83%; ceramic products reached $5,110, an increase of 28.85%.
The country’s exports to France are projected to maintain stable growth of 10% - 12% by the end of 2026 compared to 2025. The French economy is on the path to recovery, helping consumer demand to increase again, especially during the peak shopping season at the end of the year.
