Saigon Ground Services (SGN) plans for an 18% decrease in 2026 profit

 Tuesday, June 2,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the 2026 Annual General Meeting documents of Saigon Ground Services Joint Stock Company (SAGS, ticker SGN), the company aims for consolidated revenue of VND1,534.1 billion and consolidated after-tax profit of VND170.6 billion, representing decreases of 0.7% and 18.1% respectively compared to 2025.

According to SGN, in 2026 the aviation industry will continue to benefit from economic growth and the expansion of domestic aviation infrastructure.
In addition, key infrastructure projects such as Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and the preparation for commercial operation of Long Thanh International Airport by the end of 2026 are expected to enhance the operational capacity of Vietnam's aviation industry.
Furthermore, the government's policies promoting tourism, destination marketing, and visa exemption expansion will contribute to increasing the number of international visitors to Vietnam, thereby supporting the growth of the aviation industry.
However, SGN also acknowledges that global economic fluctuations and geopolitical tensions, especially in the Middle East and Europe, continue to affect supply chains, trade activities, and international travel demand. Some airlines have had to adjust their flight plans, reduce frequencies, or change flight schedules, directly impacting the operations of businesses in the aviation service supply chain.
Not to mention, fluctuations in oil prices and the risk of disruptions to aviation fuel supply continue to be a major pressure on the entire industry. SGN also notes that foreign exchange rate fluctuations can directly affect equipment investment costs, operating costs, and the efficiency of production and business operations.
To implement its 2026 plan, the SGN management board stated that it will focus on cost control and strengthening the application of information technology in management and flight operations. Simultaneously, the company will intensify its efforts to acquire new customers and develop new services to increase revenue.
Notably, SGN prioritizes expanding its business operations at Long Thanh International Airport as the airport prepares for commercial operation.
SAGS is currently implementing a key project: the construction and operation of aircraft repair and maintenance services, as well as ground handling and technical services at Long Thanh International Airport. A new legal entity has been established with SAGS holding a 75% stake and Hanoi Ground Handling Services Joint Stock Company (HGS) contributing the remaining 25%.
Regarding profit distribution policy, SAGS plans to propose to shareholders a plan to pay a cash dividend of 25% in 2025, equivalent to nearly VND84 billion. For 2026, the proposed dividend is 20% in cash.
