Vietnam’s top leader receives Executive Chairman of Thailand’s TCC Group

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam attaches importance to its Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Thailand, in which economic, trade, investment, and business connectivity cooperation serves as a key pillar contributing to sustainable growth and stronger links between the two economies, said Party General Secretary and State President To Lam.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President To Lam received Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Executive Chairman of TCC Group and CEO of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev), in Bangkok on May 27 as part of his official visit to Thailand.
At the meeting, Vietnam’s top leader welcomed major Thai corporations expanding investment and business operations in Vietnam, particularly in areas aligned with the country’s development needs and capable of adding value to bilateral cooperation.
Vietnam attaches importance to its Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Thailand, in which economic, trade, investment, and business connectivity cooperation serves as a key pillar contributing to sustainable growth and stronger links between the two economies, he said.
Acknowledging TCC Group’s investment and business activities in Vietnam over recent years, the Vietnamese leader encouraged the group to continue expanding its operations in the country with a focus on improving governance capacity, promoting science and technology application, innovation, and environmental protection, and making contributions to local communities.
For his part, Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi said TCC Group operates in key sectors including food and beverages, industry and commerce, finance and insurance, real estate, agriculture, and agro-industry, with footprint spanning Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, and several others.
Regarding the group’s operations in Vietnam, he expressed hope that the country would continue facilitating TCC Group’s investment and business activities, noting that the conglomerate is studying plans to launch additional ventures in logistics, recycling, and other sectors in the future.
Party General Secretary and State President To Lam said Vietnam is continuing to improve its investment and business environment while prioritising projects with high quality, advanced technology, modern governance, and strong linkages with domestic enterprises.
He called on TCC Group to support Vietnamese small- and medium-sized enterprises in integrating more deeply into supply chains, thereby contributing to stronger economic connectivity between Vietnam, Thailand, and other Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states./.
