Vietnam agricultural market on May 27, 2026: Central highlands coffee prices slightly rebounded

AsemconnectVietnam - In the morning session of May 27, 2026, Vietnam’s agricultural market recorded a modest recovery in coffee prices, while premium durian remained at high levels. Meanwhile, pepper and live hog prices declined in several regions.
Coffee prices slightly rebounded, awaiting global signals
Domestic coffee prices showed a slight recovery trend after a recent correction phase. Many localities in the Central Highlands increased by 200–300 dong per kg, bringing the average purchasing price to around 87,800 dong per kg. Specifically, Dak Nong (Lam Dong) remained the highest-priced area at 87,900 dong per kg after a rise of 200 dong per kg. In Dak Lak and Gia Lai, coffee prices were traded at 87,800 dong per kg. Notably, Lam Dong (former) recorded the strongest increase of 300 dong per kg, reaching 87,300 dong per kg. On the global market, trading temporarily slowed as major exchanges were closed for holidays, including Memorial Day in the United States and the Spring Bank Holiday in the United Kingdom. Previously, at the end of last week, the July 2026 Robusta contract on the London exchange rose by 2.7% to 3,456 USD per ton, while the September 2026 contract reached 3,310 USD per ton. In New York, Arabica for July 2026 increased by 2% to 272.35 US cents per pound, while the September 2026 contract reached 264.8 US cents per pound.

Gia Lai also decreased by 2,000 dong per kg, sharing the lowest price level nationwide at 137,000 dong per kg.
In Ba Ria – Vung Tau (Ho Chi Minh City), pepper prices fell by 2,000 dong per kg to 139,000 dong per kg.
A rare bright spot was seen in Dak Lak and Dak Nong (Lam Dong), where prices remained stable at the peak level of 142,000 dong per kg.
Globally, pepper prices showed little fluctuation. Indonesian black pepper was listed at 6,979 USD per ton, Brazil ASTA 570 remained at 6,250 USD per ton, and Malaysia stood at 9,350 USD per ton.
Vietnam’s export black pepper prices continued to range between 6,100 and 6,200 USD per ton.
For white pepper, Indonesia stayed at 9,151 USD per ton, Malaysia traded at 12,250 USD per ton, while Vietnam remained stable at 9,000 USD per ton.
Rice market stable domestically, mixed movements in exports
In the Mekong Delta, rice trading activities remained sluggish. Fresh paddy varieties OM 18 and Dai Thom 8 fluctuated between 6,500 and 6,700 dong per kg.

OM 5451 held at 5,800–6,000 dong per kg, IR 50404 ranged from 5,400 to 5,500 dong per kg, while OM 34 stood at 5,100–5,200 dong per kg.
Transactions for Summer–Autumn paddy were still limited as farmers maintained high price expectations while traders cautiously assessed the market.
The raw rice market also remained stable. OM 5451 ranged from 9,500 to 9,600 dong per kg, Dai Thom 8 from 9,200 to 9,400 dong per kg, and OM 18 from 8,700 to 8,850 dong per kg.
Finished IR 504 rice was traded at 10,750–10,900 dong per kg. By-products saw broken rice priced at 7,600–7,700 dong per kg and bran at 7,800–7,900 dong per kg.
In the export market, Vietnam’s rice prices showed slight fluctuations. Jasmine rice was offered at 528–532 USD per ton after increasing by 4 USD per ton.
Fragrant rice 5% broken ranged from 505 to 520 USD per ton, while 100% broken rice declined slightly by 2 USD per ton to 337–341 USD per ton.
In Thailand, 5% broken rice rose by 6 USD per ton to 440–444 USD per ton, while India’s 5% broken rice remained stable at 342–346 USD per ton.
Durian maintained strong prices, Black Thorn peaked
At southern purchasing warehouses, durian continued to maintain high and stable prices due to limited supply. Notably, Black Thorn grade A led the market at up to 125,000 dong per kg.

In the Mekong Delta, Thai durian VIP grade A hovered around 87,000 dong per kg, while grade B was about 67,000 dong per kg.
Standard Thai durian grade A ranged from 80,000 to 81,000 dong per kg. Ri6 grade A stood at around 50,000 dong per kg, while grade B was at 35,000 dong per kg.
Musang King remained high, with grade A ranging from 85,000 to 90,000 dong per kg.
In Binh Phuoc (Dong Nai), prices were also favorable, with Thai VIP grade A at 83,000–85,000 dong per kg, Ri6 grade A at 52,000–55,000 dong per kg, and Musang King around 88,000 dong per kg.
In Dong Nai, Thai durian grade A ranged from 79,000 to 83,000 dong per kg, while Tay Ninh recorded Ri6 grade A at 49,000 dong per kg.

Live hog prices decreased by 1,000 dong per kg in many provinces across the Central, Central Highlands, and Southern regions, bringing the nationwide range to 67,000–70,000 dong per kg.

The Northern region remained the only stable area. Hung Yen maintained the highest level at 70,000 dong per kg. Bac Ninh, Hanoi, and Hai Phong traded at 69,000 dong per kg, while other provinces such as Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, and Son La stood at 68,000 dong per kg.
In the Central and Central Highlands, provinces including Ha Tinh, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong all dropped by 1,000 dong per kg. Ha Tinh and Lam Dong were at 68,000 dong per kg, while others fell to 67,000 dong per kg. Thanh Hoa and Nghe An remained the highest in the region at 69,000 dong per kg.
In the South, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dong Thap also declined by 1,000 dong per kg. After the adjustment, Dong Nai was at 69,000 dong per kg, Ho Chi Minh City at 68,000 dong per kg, and Dong Thap at 67,000 dong per kg. An Giang and Ca Mau shared the lowest level at 67,000 dong per kg.

Domestic rubber purchasing prices were maintained by major companies. Phu Rieng Company listed mixed latex at 390 dong per DRC and liquid latex at 420 dong per TSC.

Ba Ria Company maintained liquid latex at 420 dong per TSC per kg and raw latex at 18,100 dong per kg, ensuring stable income for farmers.
Globally, rubber prices showed mixed movements. The June contract in China increased by 0.4% to 17,435 yuan per ton.
Thailand rose by 0.1% to 84.7 baht per kg, while Singapore gained 0.5% to 223 US cents per kg.
Meanwhile, Japan declined by 0.08% to 389.6 yen per kg. Notably, expectations of geopolitical agreements supported the October 2026 contract on the Osaka exchange, which increased by 0.49% to 407.7 yen per kg.
