Saigon Newport Corporation – Phuoc An Port: One-Year Review and Strategic Commitment for the Future
Thursday, May 14,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - On May 13, 2026, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP), in partnership with Phuoc An Port (PAP), hosted the customer conference “Forward Together – Embracing New Era” at Phuoc An Port, Dong Nai, bringing together representatives from state management agencies, logistics associations, leaders of the two organizations, together with more than 300 shipping lines, customers, and partners.
The conference highlighted key achievements following more than one year of cooperation between SNP and PAP, underscoring the partnership’s role in enhancing logistics connectivity and port operations in Dong Nai and the Southern key economic region. The event also served as a platform for SNP and PAP to reaffirm their commitment to a long-term partnership with shipping lines, customers, and stakeholders through continued investment, service enhancement, and synchronized logistics development.
After becoming a centrally governed city, Dong Nai possesses significant advantages to make a breakthrough and become a leading industrial and logistics center in the Southern region, and is expected to join Ho Chi Minh City in forming a “dual mega-urban area.” Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuc – Head of the Investment and Trade Division, Department of Industry and Trade of Dong Nai City, stated that Dong Nai has one of the country’s leading economic scales and industrial park systems, together with strategic infrastructure that has received strong investment, including Long Thanh International Airport, expressways, ring roads, and logistics corridors connecting with the Cai Mep – Thi Vai area. Dong Nai is gradually forming a synchronized logistics network for the region. The development of Dong Nai’s logistics system not only benefits businesses but also strengthens regional supply chains and economic growth.
Alongside these advantages, the connectivity among seaports, industrial parks, and supply chains in Dong Nai still faces several bottlenecks in infrastructure, logistics procedures, and the synchronized linkage among different nodes of the supply chain. The conference proposed several solutions to address these issues, including administrative procedure reform, completion of policy mechanisms, and development of inland waterway transport to enhance import-export cargo connectivity and improve business competitiveness. In addition, the customs authority consistently identifies companionship with enterprises as a key priority, promptly addressing difficulties and coordinating with partners across the logistics chain to develop a more modern, synchronized, and efficient logistics system.
In this context, the cooperation between SNP and PAP represents a bright spot, contributing to the formation of a synchronized seaport and logistics system, enhancing supply chain connectivity capacity, and creating new development momentum for the Dong Nai region. At the conference, Mr. Truong Tan Loc – Marketing Director of SNP, presented the cooperation results achieved over the past year between SNP and PAP through impressive figures: attracting cooperation from 8 shipping lines, launching 7 services with 197 vessel calls, and achieving a throughput of 190,642 TEUs. These results demonstrate the sound strategic cooperation orientation between the two parties, aimed at promoting sustainable development and delivering long-term value to shipping lines, customers, and the locality.
On behalf of Phuoc An Port, Mr. Truong Hoang Hai – President of Phuoc An Port, emphasized that the connectivity between SNP and PAP is not merely operational cooperation, but a linkage within an integrated logistics system. The combination of SNP’s integrated logistics network and PAP’s strategic location will deliver greater value to customers, shipping lines, and import-export enterprises. At the same time, PAP affirmed its commitment to comprehensive strategic cooperation with SNP, serving as an important extension of SNP’s integrated logistics ecosystem, contributing to logistics cost optimization and promoting the advantages of regional connectivity.
Through the event, SNP and PAP extended their gratitude to shipping lines and corporate customers who have contributed to the development milestones of the SNP – Phuoc An system over the past period. At the same time, the two organizations continued to reaffirm their commitment to accompanying the business community, continuously investing in infrastructure, improving service quality, and promoting the formation of a modern and synchronized logistics system, thereby contributing to the development of Dong Nai into an important logistics center of the Southern region and the country.
