Monday, May 18,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Minh Phu Seafood Group Joint Stock Company (stock code MPC) has just announced its consolidated financial report for the first quarter of 2026, with after-tax profit reaching over VND214.6 billion, 12 times higher than the same period last year, thanks to increased production and export of high-value products in large quantities.
MPC's consolidated financial report for Q1 2026 shows net revenue from sales and services reaching over VND5,706 billion, an increase of 98.5% compared to the same period last year. After-tax profit reached VND214.6 billion, 12 times higher (VND17.6 billion in the same period last year). This is Minh Phu's strongest profit growth quarter in many years.
Explaining the strong profit growth in the first quarter, the company stated that proactively boosting the production and export of high-value-added products led to a significant increase in revenue and gross profit margin, resulting in higher after-tax profits. Simultaneously, the company effectively controlled cash flow and cost factors, contributing to the increase in after-tax profits.
In 2026, Minh Phu stated its commitment to becoming the world's leading shrimp supplier through its operational priorities. To achieve this goal, MPC focuses on strengthening its management and financial capabilities, streamlining its organizational structure, enhancing transparency, and optimizing its capital structure to prepare for large-scale investment projects. It also focuses on transforming farming models to optimize efficiency per unit area, thereby reducing production costs. Furthermore, it aims to expand multi-faceted cooperation, attracting additional international resources and in-depth industry expertise to create tangible value.
Despite the volatile business environment, Mr. Le Van Quang, General Director of MPC, stated that with a solid foundation, clear strategy, and the unity of all employees, Minh Phu is confident that it will continue its recovery momentum, aiming for sustainable growth and affirming the position of Vietnamese shrimp brands in the international market.
As of March 31, 2026, Minh Phu had total assets exceeding VND12,000 billion, an increase of VND800 billion compared to the beginning of the year. Shareholder equity reached over VND5,541 billion, of which owner's contributed capital was over VND4,000 billion. Undistributed after-tax profit reached over VND929 billion, an increase of 28% compared to the beginning of the year.
