Vietnam’s footwear exports in first quarter of 2026

AsemconnectVietnam - Footwear exports in the first three months of 2026 reached over US$5.42 billion, a slight increase of 0.87% compared to the same period of 2025.
In March of 2026 alone, the exports of this product group reached US$1.95 billion, an increase of 37.99% compared to February of 2026 and an increase of 2.48% compared to March of 2025.
Among the many footwear export markets, the exports to the United States reached US$2.15 billion, accounting for 39.68% of the country's total footwear exports, a 9% increase compared to the first three months of 2025. In March of 2026 alone, exports reached US$764.91 million, a 35.66% increase compared to February of 2026 and a 12.39% increase compared to March of 2025.
The Netherlands ranked second in export value, reaching nearly US$430.24 million, accounting for 7.94%, a 3.03% increase. In March of 2026 alone, the exports to the Netherlands reached US$180.56 million, a strong 87.3% increase compared to February of 2026 and a 9.2% increase compared to March of 2025. The Chinese market followed, accounted for 5.15% of the total export value, reaching US$279.29 million, a decrease of 29.14% compared to the first three months of 2025. Footwear exports to Japan accounted for 5.09%, reaching US$276.17 million, a decrease of 5.34%.
Footwear exports to the EU market in the first three months of 2026 reached over US$1.38 billion, accounting for 25.45% of the country's total footwear export value, an increase of 2.91% compared to the same period of 2025.
Footwear exports to the RCEP FTA market in the first three months of 2026 reached over US$942.57 million, a decrease of 13.98% compared to the same period in 2025, accounting for 17.39% of the total export value; while the exports to the CPTTP FTA market reached nearly US$986.21 million, a decrease of 4.53%, accounting for 18.19%.
Exports of footwear to the Southeast Asian market accounted for 2.43% of the total turnover, reaching over US$131.96 million, a decrease of 7.88%.
