Textile and garment exports in first quarter of 2026

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first three months of 2026, textile and garment exports were estimated to reach over US$8.86 billion, an increase of 1.95% compared to the first three months of 2025.
According to the preliminary statistics figures from the Customs Department, Vietnam’s textile and garment exports in March of 2026 increased by 30.07% compared to February of 2026 and by 3.12% compared to March of 2025, reaching nearly US$3.16 billion. Overall, in the first three months of 2026, export turnover reached over US$8.86 billion, an increase of 1.95% compared to the first three months of 2025.
Vietnam's textile and garment exports to the United States consistently ranked first in terms of value, reaching nearly US$3.93 billion, accounting for 44.32% of the country's total textile and garment export turnover, an increase of 3.65% compared to the first three months of 2025. In March of 2026 alone, it reached US$1.41 billion, an increase of 27.21% compared to February of 2026 and an increase of 5.41% compared to March of 2025.
Textile and garment exports to the EU ranked second in terms of value, reaching US$1.02 billion, accounting for 11.5%, an increase of 13.24%. In March of 2026 alone, the exports of textiles and garments to EU reached US$369.79 million, an increase of 38.17% compared to February of 2026 and a 13.17% increase compared to March of 2025.
The Japanese market ranked third in terms of export value, reaching US$999.99 million, accounting for 11.28%, a decrease of 6.7%. In March of 2026 alone, the country’s textile and garment exports to Japan reached US$383.11 million, an increase of 42.42% compared to February of 2026 and a slight increase of 0.2% compared to March of 2025.
The exports to South Korean market reached a turnover of US$735.21 million, accounting for 8.29%, a decrease of 11.16%, and textile and garment exports to China reached US$328.8 million, accounting for 3.71%, an increase of 13.98% compared to the first three months of 2025.
Textile and garment exports to the Southeast Asian market accounted for 6.19%, reaching over US$548.41 million, an increase of 3.6% compared to the first three months of 2025.
Overall, textile and garment exports to most markets in the first three months of 2026 increased in turnover compared to the first three months of 2025.
