Animal feed exports increased sharply in first 2 months of 2026

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first two months of 2026, Vietnam’s exports of animal feed reached nearly US$253.84 million, an increase of 61.7% compared to the first two months of 2025.
According to the preliminary statistics figures from the Customs Department, exports of animal feed in February of 2026 decreased by 35.6% compared to January of 2026 but increased by 18.3% compared to February of 2025, reaching over US$99.42 million. Overall, in the first two months of 2026, the exports of this product group reached nearly US$253.84 million, an increase of 61.7% compared to the first two months of 2025.
Animal feed was exported most to the Chinese market in the first two months of 2026, accounting for 47% of the total export value of this product group nationwide, reaching over US$119.37 million, a sharp increase of 99.2% compared to the first two months of 2025. In particular, the figure of February of 2026 alone reached nearly US$42.14 million, a sharp decrease of 45.4% compared to January of 2026 but an increase of 19.9% compared to February of 2025.
Ranked second in terms of export value was the Cambodian market, accounting for 13.9%, reaching over US$35.35 million, an increase of 58.4% compared to the same period in 2025; In February of 2026 alone, the exports to this market reached US$16.59 million, a decrease of 11.7% compared to January of 2026 but an increase of 39.2% compared to February of 2025.
The exports to Malaysia in February of 2026 decreased by 32% compared to January of 2026 and decreased by 9.2% compared to February of 2025, reaching US$7.63 million. The total exports to this market in the first two months of 2026 increased by 14.3% compared to the first two months of 2025, reaching US$18.85 million, accounting for 7.4% of the total export value of this product group nationwide.
The exports of animal feed to the US market in February of 2026 decreased sharply by 49% compared to January of 2026 and by 10.4% compared to February of 2025, reaching US$6.03 million. However, for the first two months of 2026, the exports to the US market increased sharply by 39.3% compared to the first two months of 2025, reaching US$17.84 million, accounting for 7% of the total export value of this product group nationwide.
