Exports to Thailand increased in 2 months of 2026

AsemconnectVietnam - According to data from the Customs Department, in the first two months of 2026, Vietnam's exports to Thailand reached over US$1.6 billion, a 32% increase compared to the previous year.

Thailand is currently Vietnam's largest export market in ASEAN, accounting for over 20% of Vietnam's total export value to the bloc.
In February of 2026 alone, the country’s exports to Thailand reached US$793.03 million, a decrease of 2.8% compared to the previous month.
The leading export item in the first two months of 2026 was computers, electronic products and components, reaching over US$411.5 million, a 151.9% increase, accounting for 25.5% of the total. The next was machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts reached over US$206.9 million, an increase of 22.2%, accounting for 12.8% of the total.
Several items saw increased export turnover in the first two months of 2026 compared to the previous year: various types of iron and steel (43.7%); coffee (39.3%); iron and steel products (88.9%); pepper (103%); and various types of fertilizers (192.2%).
Thailand is a large potential market in ASEAN, with key products including machinery, electronics, components, agricultural products (seafood, fruits and vegetables), and textiles. Vietnam is taking advantage of tariff preferences to boost exports, especially for products such as wood, furniture, and handicrafts.
