Exports to Netherlands grew in 2 months of 2026

AsemconnectVietnam - According to statistics from the Customs Department, Vietnam's exports to the Netherlands in the first two months of 2026 reached US$2.24 billion, an increase of 14.3% compared to the same period last year.
Leading the export value in the first two months of 2026 was computers, electronic products and components, reaching US$590.6 million, an increase of 20% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 26.3% of the total export value. The next was the group of goods including machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts, reaching US$335.2 million, accounting for 14.9%.
Several items saw increased export value to the Dutch market in the first two months of 2026 compared to the same period last year, such as toys, sports equipment and parts increased by 285.3%; fruits and vegetables increased by 55.1%; wood and wood products increased by 150.2%.
The Netherlands has been considered a gateway to the EU market, a leading transit hub for European and global goods, particularly for fruits and vegetables. The EVFTA is creating many new opportunities for Vietnamese and Dutch businesses.
The EU is a dynamic market. Significant opportunities for cooperation in the fruit and vegetable trade are concentrated in partnerships with Dutch traders – whose import volumes from developing countries have grown significantly in recent years.
