Monday, March 23,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBank - ticker ABB) has just completed a capital increase to nearly VND14,000 billion through the issuance of shares to existing shareholders and an ESOP program for employees.
ABBank officially announced the completion of the capital increase according to the plan approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders. After completing the issuances, the bank's charter capital has increased from VND10,350 billion to VND13,972 billion.
The capital increase was implemented through two main components. ABBank issued over 310 million shares to existing shareholders under the right to purchase, thereby raising approximately VND3,104 billion. Simultaneously, the bank implemented an employee stock option program (ESOP) with nearly 52 million shares, equivalent to approximately VND517 billion.
According to ABBank representatives, the successful completion of the two issuance components not only strengthens the bank's financial capacity but also demonstrates the support of existing shareholders and the commitment of its staff to the bank's development direction. The additional capital will be prioritized by ABBank to enhance its financial capacity, expand its business operations, especially in lending activities, and accelerate investment in digital transformation and technology system upgrades.
This capital increase comes at a time when ABBank is recording positive business results. In 2025, the bank achieved pre-tax profit of VND3,522 billion, approximately 4.7 times higher than in 2024 and nearly 200% of its annual plan. Operational performance indicators have also significantly improved, reflecting positive changes from the restructuring process and improved operational efficiency in recent years.
ABBank representatives stated that the completion of the charter capital increase is a significant milestone, affirming the bank's internal strength and development potential. With a stronger financial foundation, ABBank will continue to innovate to provide better financial products and services to customers, while creating sustainable value for shareholders and the community.
