Key agricultural products saw export growth
Monday, March 9,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Most key agricultural export groups achieved positive double-digit growth.
According to the latest statistics from the Customs Department, Vietnam's goods exports from the beginning of the year to February 15th recorded extremely positive results with a total turnover of over US$63.6 billion, a strong increase of 34.6% compared to the same period last year.
The significant contribution to the country's export results cannot be overlooked, with the role of agricultural product groups showing consistent growth across most key items.
Wood and wood products continued to be the group with the highest export turnover in the agricultural sector. As of February 15th, 2026, this group brought in over US$2.3 billion, an increase of 27.85% compared to the same period last year.
Coffee also recorded an impressive export season, surpassing the $1.5 billion mark, a 31.47% increase. Meanwhile, seafood maintained its strong position, reaching over $1.4 billion in export value, a strong growth of 39.37%...
Other product groups, although not yet reaching the "billion-dollar" mark, still achieved very impressive growth. These include fruits and vegetables with $875.3 million, an increase of nearly 67%; pepper with $203 million, a 57.84% increase; and cashew nuts with $478 million, a 50.54% increase; cassava and cassava products with US$237 million, an increase of 48.22%.
Looking at the above results, the picture of agricultural exports in the early part of 2026 is very bright with high and consistent growth, unlike the struggles of the early part of 2025.
The strong growth of key product groups such as wood, coffee, seafood, and fruits and vegetables not only helps increase overall export turnover but also affirms the position and prestige of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.
