Ca Mau Fertilizer Corporation (DCM) successfully exports first shipment to the US
Friday, February 27,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Corporation (PVCFC, stock code DCM) has successfully exported its first shipment of 40,000 tons of fertilizer to the US market – one of the world's largest and most demanding fertilizer import markets.
Amidst the domestic fertilizer market, which is typically in a low point in the first quarter due to the slowdown in agricultural production after the Lunar New Year, the company proactively increased its export activities to take advantage of the positive global fertilizer price trends, contributing to reducing domestic inventory and increasing production and business efficiency.
In the first quarter of 2026, Ca Mau Fertilizer's export activities maintained impressive growth momentum, with total export volume reaching 150,000 tons, a 25% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Notably, in February, Ca Mau Fertilizer officially exported its first shipment of 40,000 tons to the US market – one of the markets with the highest technical requirements and quality standards in the world.
The US market has long been considered a "difficult destination" for fertilizer manufacturers from Asia, due to significant geographical distance and fierce competition from suppliers in North Africa and the Middle East. In this context, Ca Mau Fertilizer's successful first export shipment to the US is not only significant commercially but also demonstrates thorough preparation in terms of product quality, logistics capabilities, and the ability to meet the high technical standards of the international market.
Introducing its products to the US market is considered a significant milestone in Ca Mau Fertilizer's overseas market development roadmap. Not only does it open up opportunities to access a large-scale market, but this event also contributes to affirming the reputation and quality of Vietnamese products in the context of increasingly stringent technical, environmental, and traceability requirements.
Large-scale export shipments to international markets demonstrate Ca Mau Fertilizer's pursuit of a long-term export strategy, going beyond short-term consumption goals. By proactively participating in long-haul shipping routes with significant time and cost, the company has the opportunity to comprehensively test its production organization, logistics management, and risk management capabilities within the international supply chain. This is considered a crucial foundation for gradually expanding market share and participating more deeply in the global value chain.
