PV GAS D (PGD) plans for 10% growth in 2026

 Saturday, February 28,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - The leadership of PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution Joint Stock Company (PV GAS D - stock code PGD) stated that the company is currently developing its plan for 2026 with high determination.

The projected growth target is approximately 10%, closely following the group's overall goals and strategic directions.
According to the 2025 financial report, PV GAS D achieved revenue of nearly VND11,453 billion, a 5% increase compared to the previous year, but profit decreased by 33% compared to 2024, reaching only over VND168 billion.
Mr. Do Pham Hong Minh, Director of PV GAS D, stated that the reason for the increase in revenue but a significant decrease in profit was due to the pricing policy aimed at maintaining competitiveness and supporting industrial customers. According to Mr. Minh, at the end of 2024, when world fuel prices rose sharply, the company decided not to increase selling prices accordingly. As a result, the company incurred losses in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Meanwhile, in the fourth quarter of 2025, when world fuel prices cooled down, even though the contract did not mandate a price reduction, PV GAS D proactively reduced prices by 3-5% for its partners. This move resulted in the company recording almost no profit in the fourth quarter of 2025.
"The company does not aim to maximize profits but prioritizes increasing production, helping partners reduce input costs," Mr. Minh said, adding that PV GAS D currently supplies gas to approximately 500 businesses (including 130 direct customers and CNG compression units). The main customer group consists of steel, glass, and chemical plants – units with high heat energy needs.
PV GAS D is a subsidiary of Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), holding 50.5% of its charter capital. Its main activities are the trading and transportation of low-pressure gas, LPG, LNG, and CNG.
PV GAS D is a leading supplier of natural gas in Vietnam to industrial consumers, with annual consumption exceeding 1 billion Sm³ from domestic and imported gas sources.
In the Southeast region alone, PV GAS D currently supplies gas via pipelines to over 100 large-scale manufacturing plants in Ho Chi Minh City, including foreign-invested customers.
In terms of production volume, the Southeast region recorded impressive growth in 2025 with a 16% increase, and pipeline gas alone increased by 11.3%. Notably, in December 2025, production increased by nearly 19% compared to the same period, indicating a recovery in industrial production.
From the beginning of 2026 to the present, the gas consumption demand of PV GAS D's customers has shown more positive signs compared to the same period in 2025, thus placing higher demands on the safe, stable, and continuous operation of the gas supply system.
