AsemconnectVietnam - In accordance with the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and as assigned by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is developing a draft law to amend and supplement several articles of the Commercial Law.

Accordingly, the following will be implemented:
- Abolishing regulations on goods and services prohibited from business, restricted business, and conditional business; abolishing the provision assigning the Government to regulate areas of state monopoly in the Commercial Law to ensure consistency with the Investment Law; expanding the freedom of business and minimizing legal risks for enterprises in accordance with the Party's policy and the 2013 Constitution's provision on the freedom of business, which states that "citizens and enterprises are allowed to do everything that the law does not prohibit";
- Abolishing regulations on contracts and dispute resolution to ensure consistency with the Civil Code, avoiding conflicts in the application of law and the resolution of contract disputes; - Adding the concept of "counterfeit goods" to clarify and create a specific legal basis for preventing, combating, and handling violations, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of honest businesses; and protecting consumer rights.
