AsemconnectVietnam - In accordance with the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the assignment of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is developing a draft law to amend and supplement several articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management.

Accordingly, the following will be implemented:
- Amending the regulations on exceptions allowing businesses to re-import goods (including prohibited imports) that they themselves produced and exported for repair or warranty purposes, and then re-export them to other markets or return them to customers, thereby facilitating Vietnamese exports;
- Adding content to clarify the criteria for agencies and organizations issuing Certificates of Origin and approval documents for traders to self-certify the origin of exported goods under FTAs; and the mechanism for eligible importers to self-certify the origin of imported goods.
- Expanding the authority to issue free circulation certificates to non-state entities in accordance with the practices and regulations of some importing countries.
