Vietnam hog prices declined by 1,000–2,000 dong/kg on Feb 12

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s live hog prices fell further on Thursday morning, extending a mild downtrend across most regions, with declines of 1,000–2,000 dong per kg, according to Kinhtedothi newspaper.
Nationwide, hog prices were traded between 71,000 dong and 73,000 dong per kg.
Northern region
In northern Vietnam, prices declined in most localities, ranging from 71,000 dong to 73,000 dong per kg.
Cao Bang, Lang Son, Hai Phong, Dien Bien and Son La traded at 72,000 dong per kg. Lai Chau and Phu Tho fell by 2,000 dong to 71,000 dong per kg.
A decrease of 1,000 dong per kg was recorded in Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh and Lao Cai, where prices stood at 72,000 dong per kg.
Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi and Hung Yen also dropped by 1,000 dong to 73,000 dong per kg.
Central Highlands and central region
In the central and Central Highlands regions, hog prices continued to ease, fluctuating between 71,000 dong and 73,000 dong per kg.
Thanh Hoa and Quang Ngai declined by 2,000 dong to 72,000 dong per kg. Nghe An and Ha Tinh fell by the same margin to 71,000 dong per kg.
Quang Tri, Hue and Da Nang slipped 1,000 dong to 73,000 dong per kg.
After a 1,000-dong decrease, Gia Lai, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa were quoted at 72,000 dong per kg.
Southern region
In southern Vietnam, prices dropped by 1,000 dong in several provinces, trading between 71,000 dong and 72,000 dong per kg.
Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap and Ho Chi Minh City fell by 1,000 dong to 72,000 dong per kg.
Vinh Long declined by 1,000 dong to 71,000 dong per kg.
Meanwhile, An Giang, Ca Mau and Can Tho held steady at 71,000 dong per kg compared with the previous day, Kinhtedothi reported.
