 Thursday, February 12,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s domestic coffee prices rose slightly on Thursday morning after sharp losses in the previous session, tracking gains on both the London and New York exchanges, according to Kinhtedothi newspaper.

Domestic coffee prices were quoted between 94,500 dong and 96,000 dong  per kg. In Lam Dong province, including Di Linh, Lam Ha and Bao Loc, coffee was purchased at 94,500 dong per kg. In Dak Lak province, prices in Cu M’gar stood at 95,800 dong per kg, while Ea H’leo and Buon Ho were quoted at 95,700 dong per kg. In Dak Nong province (Lam Dong), prices were reported at 96,000 dong per kg in both Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap districts. In Gia Lai province, coffee was traded at 95,700 dong per kg in Chu Prong, and 95,600 dong per kg in Pleiku and La Grai. In Kon Tum province (Quang Ngai), prices were quoted at 95,700 dong per kg.
On the global market, robusta coffee futures on the London exchange for March 2026 delivery rose by $16 to $3,759 per metric ton, while the May 2026 contract gained $9 to $3,692 per ton.
On the New York exchange, arabica coffee for March 2026 delivery increased by 0.6 cent to 294.8 cents per lb, while the May 2026 contract rose by 2.15 cents to 292.85 cents per lb.
Market participants said both exchanges had recovered modestly after a steep decline in the previous session, with prices fluctuating since the start of the week.
In the prior session, coffee prices were supported by data showing the U.S. unemployment rate fell to 4.3%, below forecasts of 4.4% and lower than the previous month’s level. A stronger Brazilian real against the U.S. dollar also helped support the market.
Vietnam’s coffee sector entered 2026 with positive signals, extending the strong growth momentum recorded last year. The average export price in January 2026 rose by 0.9% to $5,450 per ton.
On the domestic market, green coffee beans were traded between 94,700 dong and 95,700 dong per kg.
By the end of January, coffee ranked second among Vietnam’s agricultural export earners, behind only wood and wood products.
In addition to growth in both volume and value, Vietnam’s coffee sector also advanced its product restructuring strategy, diversifying its offerings and gradually reducing reliance on raw bean exports, Kinhtedothi reported.
