AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, Vietnamese live hog prices edged lower on Tuesday morning, falling by 1,000 dong per kg in scattered areas, mainly in the southern region, traders said. Prices in the north and central regions saw only mild movements, with many localities holding steady. Nationwide, hog prices were traded in a range of 71,000–75,000 dong per kg.

Northern Vietnam
In northern Vietnam, hog prices slipped slightly, trading between 74,000 and 75,000 dong per kg.
Prices in Bac Ninh and Hanoi both fell by 1,000 dong per kg to 75,000 dong per kg. Hogs in Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Son La and Hung Yen were traded at 75,000 dong per kg.
Meanwhile, prices in Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Ninh Binh and Lai Chau were unchanged from the previous day at 74,000 dong per kg.
Central Highlands and Central Vietnam
Hog prices in central Vietnam and the Central Highlands were largely stable, with only one province recording a decline. Prices in the region ranged from 73,000 to 75,000 dong per kg.
In Lam Dong, prices fell by 1,000 dong per kg to 73,000 dong per kg. Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang and Quang Ngai held steady at 75,000 dong per kg.
Prices in Ha Tinh, Gia Lai and Khanh Hoa remained unchanged at 74,000 dong per kg, while Dak Lak continued to trade at 73,000 dong per kg.
Southern Vietnam
In southern Vietnam, hog prices continued to trend lower across several provinces, trading in a range of 71,000–74,000 dong per kg.
Prices in Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City each fell by 1,000 dong per kg to 73,000 dong per kg. Similarly, prices in An Giang, Ca Mau and Can Tho declined by 1,000 dong per kg to 71,000 dong per kg.
Meanwhile, Dong Thap held steady at 74,000 dong per kg, while Vinh Long remained unchanged at 72,000 dong per kg, traders said.
