AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, live hog prices in Vietnam edged lower on Monday morning, falling by about 1,000 dong per kg across all three regions, with declines seen mainly in the north and the south, traders said.

In northern Vietnam, hog prices fell by 1,000 dong per kg in several provinces, while others were unchanged, trading mostly between 74,000 and 76,000 dong per kg.
Prices in Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son and Ninh Binh dropped by 1,000 dong to 74,000 dong per kg. Cao Bang, Quang Ninh and Dien Bien also slipped by 1,000 dong to 75,000 dong per kg. Bac Ninh and Hanoi continued to post the highest prices in the region at around 76,000 dong per kg.
Elsewhere in the north, Hai Phong, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Son La and Hung Yen held steady at 75,000 dong per kg, while Lai Chau remained unchanged at 74,000 dong per kg.
In the central region and the Central Highlands, the hog market was largely stable, with prices ranging from 73,000 to 75,000 dong per kg. Khanh Hoa was the only province to record a decline, easing by 1,000 dong to 74,000 dong per kg.
Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang and Quang Ngai traded at around 75,000 dong per kg. Ha Tinh, Gia Lai and Lam Dong held at 74,000 dong per kg, while Dak Lak remained the lowest in the region at about 73,000 dong per kg.
In southern Vietnam, hog prices also fell by 1,000 dong per kg in several localities, while many provinces were unchanged, with prices ranging from 72,000 to 74,000 dong per kg.
Prices in Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City slipped by 1,000 dong to 74,000 dong per kg. Dong Thap was steady at 74,000 dong per kg, while An Giang, Ca Mau, Vinh Long and Can Tho continued to trade at around 72,000 dong per kg.
