Vietnam coffee prices rose on Feb 6 as Robusta rebounded, Arabica extended losses

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam coffee prices rose on the morning of Friday, supported by a rebound in Robusta futures, while Arabica continued to weaken under a stronger U.S. dollar, traders said.
Domestic coffee prices in Vietnam were quoted at 94,800–95,800 dong ($3.90–$3.94) per kg on Feb. 6, up 1,000 dong from the previous session.
In Lam Dong province, prices in Di Linh, Lam Ha and Bao Loc were seen at 94,800 dong per kg.
In Dak Lak, coffee in Cu M’gar traded at 95,700 dong, while prices in Ea H’leo and Buon Ho stood at 94,560 dong per kg.

Prices in Dak Nong were quoted at 95,800 dong, while Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap were seen at 95,700 dong per kg.
In Gia Lai, prices reached 95,500 dong in Chu Prong and 95,400 dong in Pleiku and La Grai.

On the London exchange, Robusta coffee futures rebounded, with the March 2026 contract rising $61 to $3,822 per metric ton, while the May 2026 contract gained $60 to $3,749 per ton.
By contrast, Arabica futures on ICE New York extended losses, with the March 2026 contract down 0.25 cent at 308.4 cents per lb, and the May contract falling 1.35 cents to 296.5 cents per lb.
Market participants said Arabica prices struggled to recover after sharp losses earlier in the week, as the U.S. dollar strengthened.
The U.S. Dollar Index rose 0.33% to 97.94 early on Friday, supported by risk-averse sentiment and investor assessments of early U.S. corporate earnings results.
Meanwhile, Vietnam’s January agricultural, forestry and fisheries exports were estimated at $6.51 billion, up 29.5% year-on-year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment said.
Coffee exports in January were estimated at 180,000 metric tons, worth $981 million, up 25.5% in volume and 26.6% in value from a year earlier.
Average export prices were seen at around $5,450 per ton, up 0.9%, the ministry said.
