Vietnam hog prices edged lower in the north and centre on Feb 4

AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, live hog prices in Vietnam continued to edge lower on Tuesday in the northern and central regions, while prices in the south were largely unchanged, traders said.
Across the country, live hogs were traded in a range of 72,000–77,000 dong ($2.92–$3.13) per kg.
In northern Vietnam, prices in several provinces fell by 1,000 dong per kg, with transactions seen at 76,000–77,000 dong per kg.
Prices in Lang Son, Ninh Binh, Son La and Hung Yen slipped to 76,000 dong, while Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Lao Cai and Dien Bien held steady at 77,000 dong.
Hogs in Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Lai Chau and Phu Tho were also traded at 76,000 dong per kg.
Prices in Lang Son, Ninh Binh, Son La and Hung Yen slipped to 76,000 dong, while Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Lao Cai and Dien Bien held steady at 77,000 dong.
Hogs in Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Lai Chau and Phu Tho were also traded at 76,000 dong per kg.
In the central and Central Highlands region, prices also declined by 1,000 dong per kg in several areas, ranging from 75,000 to 77,000 dong.
Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Khanh Hoa fell to 76,000 dong per kg, while Thanh Hoa and Nghe An remained unchanged at 76,000 dong.
Ha Tinh and Gia Lai held at 75,000 dong, Dak Lak stayed at 76,000 dong, and Lam Dong remained the highest-priced province in the region at 77,000 dong per kg.
Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Khanh Hoa fell to 76,000 dong per kg, while Thanh Hoa and Nghe An remained unchanged at 76,000 dong.
