 Monday, February 2,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, Vietnam’s domestic coffee prices were traded between 100,000 and 100,900 dong per kg on the Morning of Monday, holding relatively steady at the start of February despite downward pressure from global markets, traders said.

In Lam Dong province, coffee prices in Di Linh, Lam Ha and Bao Loc were quoted at 100,000 dong per kg.
In Dak Lak, prices in Cu M’gar stood at 100,800 dong per kg, while Ea H’leo and Buon Ho were seen at 100,700 dong per kg.
In Dak Nong (Lam Dong province), prices reached 100,900 dong per kg, while Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap were quoted at 100,800 dong per kg.
In Gia Lai, prices were reported at 100,600 dong per kg in Chu Prong, and 100,500 dong per kg in Pleiku and La Grai.
Prices in Kon Tum (Quang Ngai province) were unchanged at 100,500 dong per kg.
Global market
In the latest trading session, Robusta coffee futures on the London exchange fell sharply. The March 2026 contract dropped $66 per tonne to $4,113 per tonne, while the May 2026 contract lost $59 per tonne to $4,037 per tonne.
On the New York exchange, Arabica coffee futures also declined. The March 2026 contract fell 13.25 cents per lb to 332.25 cents per lb, while the May 2026 contract slid 13.45 cents per lb to 315.45 cents per lb.
On a weekly basis, March Robusta fell $29 per tonne, while March Arabica dropped 18.65 cents per lb. Vietnam’s domestic coffee prices declined by an average of 200 to 500 dong per kg.
Arabica prices touched a 5.5-month low last week, while Vietnamese coffee prices saw only limited corrections and continued to trade above key technical support levels. Traders said this was partly supported by falling Brazilian exports, with Robusta shipments in December 2025 plunging 61%, helping underpin demand for Vietnamese supplies.
Market participants said prices holding above 100,000 dong per kg, even amid adverse news related to Brazilian weather, tested market sentiment. Entering February 2026, with Brazilian Robusta supply still limited and global demand steady, domestic prices around 100,000 dong per kg were expected to form a new price floor.
Market outlook
Nguyen Quang Binh, a market analyst, said the scope for a rebound in Robusta prices was limited. He noted that both futures exchanges had entered the week with increased net long positions from the previous week, while the London market faced selling pressure from Vietnam ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays.
In addition, the ongoing recovery of the U.S. dollar was expected to weigh further on coffee prices in the coming week, analysts said.
