AsemconnectVietnam - Of the total, key agricultural and food products accounted for about 1.4 billion USD, representing the largest share of the sector’s export turnover. The result reflects the effectiveness of Hanoi’s efforts to expand overseas markets, improve quality standards, strengthen traceability systems and promote international-standard production models to meet increasingly stringent import requirements.
Of the total, key agricultural and food products accounted for about 1.4 billion USD, representing the largest share of the sector’s export turnover. The result reflects the effectiveness of Hanoi’s efforts to expand overseas markets, improve quality standards, strengthen traceability systems and promote international-standard production models to meet increasingly stringent import requirements.
Alongside export growth, Hanoi’s agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector continued to post solid performance. In 2025, the sector’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) was estimated to grow by 3.55% year on year. Output at constant prices reached over 44.24 trillion VND (more than 1.7 billion USD), up 3.55%, with agriculture remaining the main driver at more than 40.3 trillion VND, an increase of 3.52%.
At current prices, total production value of the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector in 2025 was estimated at nearly 70.4 trillion USD, with agriculture accounting for 91.02% of the total.
These results provide a solid foundation for Hanoi to further restructure its agricultural sector toward a modern, sustainable and higher-value model, enhance competitiveness, and expand export markets in the coming years./.
