AsemconnectVietnam - In 2025, imports of automotive components and parts were estimated to reach US$5.93 billion, a 21.5% increase compared to 2024.
According to preliminary statistics from the Customs Department, the imports of automotive components and parts into Vietnam in December 2025 increased by 24.1% compared to November of 2025 and by 46.5% compared to December of 2024, reaching US$707.09 million. Overall, imports of this product group were projected to reach US$5.93 billion in 2025, an increase of 21.5% compared to 2024.
The majority of imported automotive components and parts originated from China, accounting for 41.7% of the total import value of this product group nationwide, reaching over US$2.47 billion, a sharp increase of 76% compared to 2024. In December of 2025 alone, the imports from China reached over US$363.54 million, an increase of 35.1% compared to November 2025 and a sharp increase of 113.8% compared to December of 2024.
The second largest market was South Korea, accounting for 15%, reaching nearly US$889.49 million, a decrease of 15.7%. In December of 2025 alone, the imports from this market reached nearly US$79.47 million, a slight decrease of 0.5% compared to November of 2025 and a decrease of 13.1% compared to December of 2024.
The imports from Thailand in 2025 reached US$776.88 million, an increase of 12.4%, accounting for 13.1%. In December of 2025 alone, the imports from this market reached over US$80.04 million, an increase of 28.3% compared to November of 2025 and an increase of 17.5% compared to December of 2024.
Overall, imports of automotive components and parts from most markets in 2025 increased in value compared to 2024.
