Exports to Thailand reached ver $8.7 billion in 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to data from the Customs Department, in 2025, Vietnam's exports to Thailand reached over $8.7 billion, a 13% increase compared to the previous year.
Thailand is currently Vietnam's largest export market in ASEAN, accounting for over 20% of Vietnam's total exports to the bloc.
In 2024, the total import and export turnover between Vietnam and Thailand reached over $20 billion, a 6.36% increase compared to 2023. Of this, Vietnam's exports to Thailand reached approximately $7.81 billion, with key export items including telephones and components, machinery and equipment, iron and steel, computers, electronic products, and agricultural products (fresh fruit, seafood, coffee). Conversely, Vietnam's imports from Thailand reached US$12.45 billion, with main product groups including machinery and equipment, complete automobiles, electronic components, and household electrical appliances.
The leading export item in 2025 were computers, electronic products and components, reaching over US$1.7 billion, an increase of 102.3%, accounting for 20.3% of the total. The next was machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts, reaching over US$1.1 billion, an increase of 13.9%, accounting for 13.5% of the total.
Several items with increased export value in 2025 compared to the previous year include coffee (up by 106.7%); iron and steel (up by 48.3%); chemicals (up by 110.8%); animal feed and raw materials (up by 78%); and gemstones, precious metals and products (up by 80.9%).
