Machinery and electrical equipment also retained the largest import category sourced by Singapore from Vietnam in 2025, valued at over 6.7 billion SGD, up 112% year on year and accounting for 51.2% of total imports. According to Cao Xuan Thang, Trade Counsellor of Vietnam in Singapore, the strong results reflect sustained trade promotion efforts, effective implementation of free trade agreements and bilateral arrangements, as well as close coordination among ministries, sectors, localities, industry associations and the business community, with the trade office playing a key role in facilitating trade and business connectivity./.
