AsemconnectVietnam - Along with a strong focus on new power generation projects, the leadership of Power Generation Corporation 3 also stated that it will prioritize the restructuring plan for the 2026-2030 period through the issuance of shares to increase charter capital.
Ensuring electricity production and meeting the mobilization requirements of the power system
On the morning of January 7, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, Power Generation Corporation 3 - JSC (EVNGENCO3, ticker PGV - HOSE) held a conference to summarize its work in 2025 and implement tasks for 2026. Mr. Dang Hoang An, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), attended and directed the conference.
Reporting at the Conference, Mr. Le Van Danh - General Director of EVNGENCO3 - stated that in 2025, the power plants under the Corporation operated safely and reliably, meeting the mobilization requirements of the National Power System. Under favorable hydrological conditions, the hydropower sector achieved an electricity output of 6.57 billion kWh (exceeding the assigned plan by 49%). Overall, the total electricity production of the entire Corporation reached 26.754 billion kWh, achieving 105.84% of the assigned plan.

Many targets exceeded the plan, such as the response coefficient of the gas-fired thermal power sector reaching 99.37%, the self-consumption rate of the coal-fired thermal power sector continuing to decrease year by year, and the failure rate significantly reduced compared to previous years.
Promoting Power Source Development and Planning for Restructuring in the Coming Period
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Dang Hoang An - Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN - acknowledged the contributions of Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3) in ensuring electricity supply in 2025 and highly appreciated the efforts and solutions implemented by EVNGENCO3 to achieve its assigned goals and tasks. EVNGENCO3 has built and maintained an increasingly systematic and professional management system, effectively fulfilling its management and operational role throughout the Corporation; while also effectively carrying out social welfare work, clearly demonstrating the responsibility of a state-owned enterprise to the community, thereby contributing to spreading the image and prestige of EVN and EVNGENCO3 in society.
In addition, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN requested EVNGENCO3 to continue to promote investment and construction, implement solutions to accelerate the progress of projects, and meet the requirements for power source development in the coming period. At the same time, the Corporation needs to strengthen solutions for consuming ash and slag at coal-fired power plants, upgrade environmental protection equipment, and meet new regulations and standards. Mr. Dang Hoang An affirmed that Vietnam Electricity Group will always accompany and create favorable conditions to support Power Generation Corporation 3 in effectively implementing assigned tasks and projects.
At the conference, Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Power Generation Corporation 3 - affirmed that EVNGENCO3 will continue to strive to maintain electricity production. The Corporation's leadership will strengthen leadership and direction to achieve key objectives in 2026.
Entering 2026, EVNGENCO3 aims for an electricity production output of 31.014 billion kWh and will focus strongly on new power source projects. The focus will be on implementing investment procedures for the Ninh Binh Flexible Power Plant project, the Long Son LNG Power Plant, and the implementation of floating solar power projects on the reservoirs of the Srepok 3, Buon Kuop, and the expanded Srepok 3 Hydropower Plant. In particular, EVNGENCO3 is developing a restructuring plan for the period 2026-2030 through a capital increase through the issuance of shares.
