Domestic rice market on January 13, 2026: Dai Thom firm

AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, domestic rice prices on January 13, 2026 showed little fluctuation, with sluggish trading activities. Early Winter–Spring paddy supply was offered sporadically in several areas.
Based on updates from the An Giang Department of Agriculture and Environment and Lua Gao Viet, Dai Thom 8 rice was quoted at VND8,600–8,750/kg. Export-grade IR 504 rice material was priced at VND7,600–7,750/kg; OM 5451 rice material at VND8,150–8,300/kg; Soc Thom rice material at VND7,500–7,600/kg; CL 555 rice material at VND7,340–7,450/kg; OM 380 rice material at VND7,200–7,300/kg; and OM 18 rice material at VND8,500–8,600/kg. Finished IR 504 rice was traded at VND9,500–9,700/kg.
By-products were quoted at VND7,600–11,000/kg. Broken rice prices increased by VND100/kg compared with the weekend, reaching VND7,600–7,700/kg, while rice bran was priced at VND10,000–11,000/kg.
Rice prices remained stable amid weak trading. In An Giang, transactions were slow with limited buying interest from warehouses. In Sa Dec and An Cu (Dong Thap), arrivals were low and prices showed little change. At retail markets, rice prices were flat compared with the weekend. Nang Nhen rice recorded the highest price at VND28,000/kg; Huong Lai rice at VND22,000/kg; Thai long-grain fragrant rice at VND20,000–22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice at VND21,000/kg; Taiwan fragrant rice at VND20,000/kg; Jasmine rice at VND14,000–15,000/kg; common white rice at VND16,000/kg; Soc rice at VND16,000–17,000/kg; ordinary rice at VND12,000–13,000/kg; Soc Thai rice at VND20,000/kg; and Japanese rice at VND22,000/kg.
Similarly, paddy prices remained stable. According to the An Giang Department of Agriculture and Environment, fresh OM 18 paddy was offered at VND6,500–6,700/kg; fresh IR 50404 paddy at VND5,500–5,600/kg; fresh OM 5451 paddy at VND5,800–6,000/kg; fresh Dai Thom 8 paddy at VND6,500–6,700/kg; fresh OM 34 paddy at VND5,200–5,400/kg; and OM 4218 paddy at VND6,000–6,200/kg.
Across many localities, trading remained slow, with Winter–Spring paddy supply offered in limited volumes and prices holding steady. In An Giang, traders continued to suspend purchases, resulting in subdued early-week transactions. In Can Tho, Winter–Spring harvesting began in some areas, supporting stable prices. In Ca Mau, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, and Tay Ninh, trading activities were limited, while paddy prices remained firm.
In the export market, according to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), Vietnam’s rice export prices were quoted as follows: 5% broken fragrant rice at USD420–440/tonne; 100% broken rice at USD319–323/tonne; and Jasmine rice at USD446–450/tonne.
