AsemconnectVietnam - According to statistics from the Customs Department, Vietnam's exports to the US market in 2025 will reach over US$153.1 billion, an increase of 28.1% compared to the previous year.
Currently, more than half of Vietnam's export value to the US consists of high-tech products (consumer electronics, smartphones), garments and footwear, with the remainder being other products such as furniture and agricultural products.
In 2025, leading export items were computers, electronic products and components, reaching over $42 billion, an increase of 81.3% compared to the previous year, accounting for 27.4% of total exports. This was followed by machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts, reaching $24.1 billion, an increase of 9.4% compared to the previous year, accounting for 15.7%. Next, textiles and garments reached $17.8 billion, a 10.7% increase in exports, accounting for 11.6% of the total.
Items with increased export value in 2025 compared to the previous year include: toys, sporting goods and parts (up by 260.3%); electrical wires and cables (up by 52.2%); glass and glass products (up by 99.9%); and coffee (up by 56.9%).
The US is currently leading Vietnam's export markets. Meanwhile, Vietnam has become a major trading partner of the US and an important link in the supply chain for many goods to the US market.
Among Vietnam's exports to the US, agricultural products, seafood, furniture, and decorations hold a very important position. This is because these are strong product groups for Vietnam and there is high demand in the US.
With a combination of new leading sectors such as high technology and traditional export sectors with stable market share, along with advantages in price, quality, and supply capacity, Vietnamese goods are expected to continue their growth momentum in the US market, thereby making a significant contribution to the overall trade picture of the economy in the coming year.
