Minh Phu (MPC): Many outstanding contracts remain, but shortage of raw materials
Tuesday, January 6,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - This was the statement made by the leadership of Minh Phu Seafood Group Joint Stock Company (MPC) at the extraordinary general meeting held on December 20th when shareholders questioned the current status of sales contracts.
According to MPC's leadership, the situation of outstanding contracts but a shortage of raw materials is expected to continue until after Tet (Lunar New Year).
On the other hand, this year's bad weather and disease outbreaks have negatively impacted the aquaculture sector, but the processing sector has shown positive results. However, the company is facing a labor shortage. Minh Phu hopes to maintain similar positive results next year.
For the first nine months of 2025, MPC recorded net revenue of VND10,250.5 billion, a decrease of approximately 5% compared to the same period last year. Thanks to cost reductions and increased financial revenue, the company reported a net profit of nearly VND411 billion, compared to a net loss of over VND44 billion in the same period last year.
At the extraordinary general meeting, Minh Phu shareholders approved the addition of business lines for water extraction, treatment and supply; drainage and wastewater treatment.
The management stated that Ca Mau province does not have sufficient budget to build a centralized wastewater treatment plant for the entire industrial park, so Minh Phu has proactively built this facility and will operate it to provide wastewater treatment services not only for the Group's factories but also for other businesses in the industrial park.
In other news, on December 25th, Minh Phu Seafood will pay dividends for 2024 in cash. The payout ratio is 2.5% per share (VND250 per share). With 401.09 million shares outstanding, Minh Phu Seafood is estimated to spend over VND100.2 billion to pay dividends this time.
