Rice exports reached over US$3.85 billion in 11 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 11 months of 2025, rice exports were estimated to decrease by 10.9% in volume, 27.4% in value, and 18.5% in price compared to the same period in 2024.
According to preliminary statistics from the Customs Department, in November of 2025, Vietnam's rice exports reached 374,288 tonnes, equivalent to US$190.14 million, with an average price of US$508/tonne, representing a 10.3% increase in volume and a 7.5% increase in value compared to October of 2025, but a 2.6% decrease in price.
In November of 2025, Vietnam's rice exports to Ivory Coast reached 71,534 tonnes, equivalent to US$29.69 million, at a price of US$415/tonne, representing an 11.8% increase in volume and a 5.5% increase in value, but a 5.6% decrease in price compared to October of 2025. Following that was Malaysia with 57,632 tonnes, equivalent to over US$24.61 million, at a price of US$427/tonne, a 22% increase in volume and a 17.5% increase in value, but a 3.8% decrease in price compared to October of 2025. The next was China with 57,003 tonnes, equivalent to over US$27.36 million, at a price of US$480/tonne, a sharp increase of 92.7% in volume and an 88% increase in value, but a 2.4% decrease in price.
Overall, from January of 2025 to November of 2025, the country's rice exports reached over 7.53 million tonnes, equivalent to over 3.85 billion USD, with an average price of 511 USD/tonne, a decrease of 10.9% in volume, 27.4% in value, and 18.5% in price compared to the first 11 months of 2024. The Philippines ranked first, accounting for 39.9% of the total volume and 38.5% of the total value of the country's rice exports, reaching nearly 3.01 million tonnes, equivalent to over 1.48 billion USD, with a price of 492.4 USD/tonne, a decrease of 24.9% in volume, 40.1% in value, and 20.3% in price compared to the first 11 months of 2024; Ghana ranked second, with 873,255 tonnes, equivalent to US$490.19 million, at a price of US$561.3/tonne, accounting for 11.6% of the total volume and 12.7% of the total value of rice exports nationwide. This represents a very strong increase of 52.4% in volume and 23.9% in value, but a decrease of 18.7% in price compared to the first 11 months of 2024. Ivory Coast ranked third with 988,073 tonnes, equivalent to US$451.24 million, at an average price of US$456.7/tonne, accounting for 13.1% of the total volume and 11.7% of the total value. This represents a strong increase of 125.7% in volume and 73.5% in value, but a decrease of 23.1% in price compared to the first 11 months of 2024.
Notably, rice exports to Bangladesh continued to increase very strongly. Rice exports to Senegal increased by 23.848% in volume and 14.564% in value, reaching 105,132 tonnes, equivalent to $50.03 million; the exports to Senegal also increased sharply by 7.296% in volume and 3.164% in value, reaching 166,484 tonnes, equivalent to $51.87 million.
