Imports of milk and dairy products increased in first 11 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, the import value of milk and dairy products in the first 11 months of 2025 is projected to reach nearly US$1.27 billion, an increase of 23.2% compared to the first 11 months of 2024.
In November of 2025 alone, the import value of this product group reached US$105.51 million, an increase of 3.2% compared to October of 2025 and an increase of 3.3% compared to November of 2024.
New Zealand, the United States, Australia, Ireland, and Germany were the main markets supplying milk and dairy products to Vietnam. Of these, imports from New Zealand reached US$374.2 million, accounting for 29.5% of the total import value of this product group nationwide, a sharp increase of 43.8% compared to the first 11 months of 2024. In November of 2025 alone, it reached US$35.24 million, an increase of 29.7% compared to October of 2025 and a 36.3% increase compared to November of 2024.
The country’s imports of milk and dairy products from Australia increased by 3.9% compared to the first 11 months of 2024, reaching US$110.14 million, accounting for 8.7%; while the imports of milk from the US decreased by 5.3%, reaching US$110.07 million, accounting for 8.68%.
The imports of milk and dairy products from Germany in the first 11 months of 2025 increased sharply by 58.4%, reaching US$73.49 million, accounting for 5.8%.
Meanwhile, the imports of milk and dairy products from Southeast Asian markets reached US$160.3 million, accounting for 12.6%, an increase of 3.3% compared to the first 11 months of 2024; and the imports from EU countries reached US$329.77 million, accounting for 26%, a sharp increase of 41.7%.
