Phenikaa, Vicostone (VCS) Breakthrough at CSI 2025: Affirming pioneering position in sustainable development
Tuesday, December 9,2025
AsemconnectVietnam - On December 5, 2025, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) honored Phenikaa Group in the Top 10 Sustainable Enterprises in the Manufacturing Sector in 2025.
Phenikaa continues to affirm its pioneering position in sustainable development when it was honored by the CSI Program for the 8th consecutive time in the Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam. Vicostone Joint Stock Company (VCS) - a member unit - also maintained its position in the Top 100 and was named for the first time in the category "Top 5 Enterprises with Good Corporate Governance Breakthrough 2025".
The CSI 2025 Program is chaired by VCCI and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD), in coordination with ministries, departments and branches. The CSI index with strict ESG criteria requires businesses to demonstrate their management capacity, operational efficiency and commitment to sustainable development. In that context, Phenikaa has met the requirements for many years and maintained its position as a pioneer in ESG-based development strategies.
E - Environment: Green vision with long-term strategy
In the industrial production sector, Phenikaa has built an ESG-based development strategy from the very beginning and gradually implemented a roadmap towards Net Zero by 2050. R&D advantages help the Group proactively source raw materials, technology and products. Currently, more than 90% of high-quality input materials are self-researched and produced in the ecosystem, helping to strictly control the origin and sustainability of the value chain.
The application of Breton (Italy) technology lines optimizes the production process, reduces energy consumption and increases the recycling rate of raw materials by 7 times in just one year. Many products that meet C2C (Cradle to Cradle) standards have successfully penetrated demanding markets such as the US and Canada.
2024 marks an important step forward when Phenikaa applies ISO 14064 & ISO 14067 standards to inventory and trace emissions; reuse 100% of production wastewater; recycle 62% of industrial solid waste into raw materials for other industries; operate the ISO 50001:2018 energy management system to save costs and reduce emissions.
In addition to green production, Phenikaa promotes research on green technology and environmentally friendly materials, develops autonomous robot solutions for applications in factories, hospitals, schools, urban areas, etc. This ecosystem supports the Group's goal: creating a green, smart living and working environment and accompanying the Government towards Net Zero 2050.
S - Social: People are the center
Phenikaa defines a conscious business culture and puts people at the center. The Group invests systematically in areas with profound social impacts, notably education and healthcare. The inter-level education system (Phenikaa School - Phenikaa University) and the healthcare ecosystem (Phenikaa Hospital - Clinic) contribute to spreading knowledge values and improving the quality of life of the community.
Not only incorporating ESG into management and operations, Phenikaa focuses on spreading the ESG spirit to employees through community programs such as "Consolidating schools and classrooms", "Journey of knowledge", or the "Green action - Sowing Happiness" campaign. These activities attract a large number of employees, create positive social impacts and foster a sense of responsibility in each individual. The Group also builds an internal culture that promotes equality, creativity and opportunities for capacity development. Being honored by Anphabe in the Top 100 Best Places to Work in Vietnam 2025 shows Phenikaa's efforts in creating a humane and sustainable working environment.
G - Governance: Standardizing governance according to international practices
In the trend of globalization, sustainable governance has become a key standard for businesses to develop in the long term. Phenikaa builds a governance platform according to international standards, while integrating ESG into all activities.
The Group establishes a three-level ESG governance structure, operates based on data and complies with international standards on transparency and risk management. The digital system, BSC-KPI-OKR index set and internal audit mechanism help all activities to be monitored consistently, from green production to human resource management.
The risk management process is implemented according to ISO 31000 and COSO ERM standards, integrated into the entire chain of activities of the Group. This approach helps to identify and handle risks early, ensure transparent information and support quick and accurate decision making.
Continuing to be in the Top 10 Sustainable Enterprises in the manufacturing sector in 2025 is a recognition of the continuous efforts of nearly 4,500 Phenikaa employees. More importantly, this is the foundation for the Group to set higher goals in the coming period.
With the philosophy of "Green vision - Service heart - Happiness", Phenikaa affirms its commitment to accompany the sustainable development and prosperity of the country.
